Oladapo Ademola (LLB, BL) is the principal, and founder of AOA Legal. He was called to the bar in 2002, and holds degrees from the University of Warwick and the Universit y of Dundee (with distinction). ‘Dapo is an expert litigation and transaction lawyer with vast experience in AOA Legal’s practice areas, most notably oil and gas, power, general commercial law, banking and finance, and technology, media and intellectual property.
An assertive and highly competent litigator, also well-versed in commercial and investment arbitration, Dapo is recognised by clients for his ability to creatively resolve legal disputes and to broker complex deals that respect all parties’ interests and varied operational considerations.
Dapo has deep legal sensibilities and appreciation for the fine points of the law – almost inevitably so, given his recognised personal pedigree as son, grandson, brother and nephew to both past and present Nigerian legal luminaries, including the first indigenous Chief Justice.
Informed and especially wellconnected, Dapo has commented and published on oil and gas, power regulation, credit and legal risk in project finance, and the drafting and interpretation of contracts in Nigeria.
